Built Through Practice, Guided by Industrial Design

CITYLAB DESIGN LIMITED was incorporated in London on March 15, 2025 — born out of a shared frustration with fragile, poorly adapted tools used in modern city life. Our founders, combining backgrounds in industrial design and urban policy, saw an opportunity to design for real-world use rather than aesthetic trends.

In our early months, we worked with local waste services and courier cooperatives to prototype lightweight worker‑centric tools and basic micromobility solutions. These collaborations helped shape our practical, street-informed approach to design.

As of today, we remain a micro-agency by choice — small, flexible, and deeply embedded in our work. Our size allows us to stay close to the people and systems we serve, designing tools and environments that grow from actual need, not theory.
